Energy healing therapies focus on removing congestion that forms in our energetic circulatory system – our energy centres (chakras), our pathways of energy flow (meridians) and our energy field (aura). This congestion, or energetic ‘sludge’, builds up as a result of the stresses of life and because of our human tendency to focus on negative emotions and negative thinking, rather than on the positives in our lives. The healing energy must first of all clear the meridians so it can then flow through the body. A fast car can’t drive on a broken road, so the road needs to be fixed first. It’s the same with energy.

The mind never stops thinking, analyzing, and trying to figure things out – a person has about 70,000 thoughts per day. Yet most of the time we are unaware of this self-talk. What meditation does is still the mind and the constant thoughts for a period of extreme relaxation which reduces stress and anxiety levels – like a pressure release valve.
Why should we love ourselves? Isn’t self-love egotistical? Weren’t we taught to put others first?
Self-love is very important because you must first be able to love yourself in order to truly be able to love other people. If you aren’t comfortable in your own skin, you can never be truly comfortable with others. Furthermore, if you don’t believe you deserve to be treated well, you will start to attract people who match that energy and who don’t treat you well. And as for ego, the more you feel good about yourself, the less you feel the need to show off or act in any ego-led way.
The key to manifesting your dreams and whatever you want in life is to practise FEELING often the joy that you will have when what you want has manifested. You need to feel that joy in your present moment because if you see it in the future, it will stay in the future. What we manifest in our lives comes from our thought-forms.
What creates illness? Many people believe we at the mercy of our genetics. They think whatever we’ve inherited from our parents is likely to pop up in our own bodies sooner or later. But that’s not the full story.

What is a Spirit Guide?
My understanding is that all Spirit Guides are representations of our own Inner Being or Core Self. This is the much vaster part of us in spirit that is our true essence and life force. The Inner Being chooses to show itself with a particular physical image to get us to pay attention. It wants us to work with the guide to deepen our connection to the Inner Being itself so we can have better communication and guidance. When our Inner Being speaks to us in our heads, it sounds very much like our own thoughts so it can be quite difficult to discern the difference. The Inner Being can give us a visual image or a particular feeling, or even smell, to make us aware of the guide. Then when the guide gives us a message, we are much more likely to pay attention.
Natural healing is a growing field as more and more people turn to a more whole body and drug-free approach to health. The physical and mental benefits of practices such as yoga and meditation are well documented. The medical profession is starting to recognise the benefits of Reiki.
